I know exactly what you mean! I spent 5 months working on this CMS that included a Admin Control Panel, and after that I lost intrest, because it was getting extremely boring. About a month later (month of practice and revisions), I started to pick up speed, learn about functions, and completed the board. It is now nice and safe on a work server!
Very true.
But I am faster now than in the beginning time because of the framework I have managed to create. The most often used patterns like pager are 'librarified'. So the time I can save the time for coding that. But in the case of (X)HTML/CSS it is different - you can't build a library in those languages. Knowing too much will slow you down. You get a bit faster after some time - but you will never reach the speed of a beginner. As a great man said 'Ignorance is bliss' |
